Designer, Deidre Jefferies launched her emerging luxury womenswear brand, ESPION Atelier, and has since crystallized its aesthetic DNA as a genius blend of East meets West and couture meets ready-to-wear. Native to Washington, DC, the nation's capital is where she developed her prim design aesthetic and the city's spy culture lends itself to her collection's slick, mysterious, modern edge. The heirloom quality pieces are superb evidence of the designer's laser-sharp palette.
ESPION Atelier debuted at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NY, to a standing ovation and subsequently received glowing reviews and awards. She was awarded Designer of the Year by The Washington Post and The Fashion Delegate and named Ebony magazine's "Top 12 Designers to Watch". CVS honored Ms. Jefferies with a MirrorMirror Award, naming her a "fashion & beauty icon." She has partnered with Rolls-Royce Motorcars and attracted sponsors such as Coca-Cola, Smartwater and global Public Relations firm "Finn Partners", among many others. Deidre's steady rise is a testament to her creative staying power. Deidre is intensely focused on luxury and her exacting expectations and commitment to excellence are apparent in everything she does. The multi-faceted designer provided costume design for the Oprah Winfrey Network, Good Morning America and feature films.
To honor her natural proclivity towards the arts, she served as a Smithsonian Institution committee member. She is currently serving as Commissioner on the DC Commission on Fashion, Arts and Events. Ms. Jefferies also had the incredible fortune to be selected for an appointment to an ongoing Obama White House roundtable group on International trade. She delivers keynote speeches on entrepreneurship, branding, corporate culture and wealth to Universities and Corporations across the country.
